"Dive in to a fun eighth birthday," for instance, could be used. "Make a splash on your tenth birthday" is another cute idea. Better yet, you could incorporate the child's name into the words on their swimming pool party cakes, making it even more personalized and, therefore, special. A little bit of imagination and a skilled cake designer can go a long way toward coming up with pool party cakes that really steal the show at your next event.

Enhance The Fun

Swimming takes a lot out of a kid - especially when it's done with a lot of their friends. Refreshments are key at any pool party, and the children are sure to devour the swimming pool party cake that you provide. Anticipation about enjoying the cake will build over the course of the party; when you announce that it's time for cake, you'll be shocked at how quickly those kids bolt from the water. Swimming Pool party cakes are essential for any well rounded party, and they can provide a focal point around which the party guests come together - at least outside of the water. Pick one up for your next pool party.
Swimming pool party cake-fairy-party-cakes.

Cute Designs For Pool Party Cakes

Cute Designs For Pool Party Cakes

There are many fun things you can do with swimmingpool party cakes. People enjoy including a body of water - or a pool - on such cakes. After all, water is the central focal point of such parties. If you're having a pirate themed bash, for instance, you could look to have pool party cakes designed featuring a pirate ship out a sea. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more tropical edge, why not choose a cake with a waterfall or other natural, colorful look? The possibilities are endless, especially if you find a talented cake designer.
Swimming Pool Party Cake

Swimming Pool Party Cake 5

Swimming Pool Party Cake 5

Swimming Pool Party Cake Ingredients

* 1/2 gallon quality ice cream (any flavor)
* 1 1/3 8.5-oz. pkgs. fudge sticks (chocolate or peanut butter)
* 2 cups heavy cream
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
* Blue food coloring
* Gummy rings
* Gobstoppers
* Paper umbrellas
* Plastic figures
* Licorice
* Decorators' frosting

Swimming Pool Party Cake Instructions

1.Begin by making the ice-cream base of the swimming pool cake. Let the ice cream soften at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, then ask your kids to help you spoon it into an 8-inch round springform pan, souffle dish, or plastic container. Pack the ice cream into the mold and smooth out the top. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
2.After the ice cream has frozen solid, unmold it by dipping the container quickly into a pan of hot water; if necessary, you can also loosen the edges of the ice cream with a knife. Invert the mold onto a large plate and carefully lift off the pan to reveal the ice-cream cake.
3.Your kids can then carefully place the fudge sticks (we alternated plain and chocolate-peanut butter) along the sides of the ice-cream pool cake, the cookies will resemble the panels of an aboveground pool. Return the cake to the freezer while you prepare the whipped cream.
4.To make the blue whipped cream waves, pour the cold heavy cream into a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until the cream begins to thicken and soft peaks form. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and beat until stiff. Mix in several drops of blue food coloring. Frost the top of the frozen cake with the blue whipped cream, then return it to the freezer for 15 to 30 minutes or until set.
5.Next, let your kids turn the cake into a bustling pool with gummy ring inner tubes, Gobstopper beach balls, paper umbrellas, and plastic swimmers. Add a licorice ladder with licorice rungs (use decorators' frosting to glue it together).
6.Now it's time to take the plunge into the swimming pool cake. For best results, serve it immediately and do not let it stand at room temperature for long. Store leftovers in the freezer. Feeds 10 to 12 hungry swimmers. The swimming pool party cake is ready.....enjoy the party at the pool !!!

Vanilla Pool Pary Cupcakes

Vanilla Pool Party Cupcakes

A great swimming pool party cake !

Swimming Pool Party Cake INGREDIENTS
Vanilla Cupcakes:

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature

2/3 cup (130 grams) granulated white sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Zest of 1 large lemon (optional)

1 1/2 cups (195 grams) all purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup (60 ml) milk

Buttercream Frosting:

2 cups (230 grams) confectioners sugar (icing or powdered sugar), sifted

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk or light cream

Assorted food colors (if desired)

Swimming Pool Party Cake INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) and lightly butter or line 12 muffin cups with paper liners.

For the Cupcakes: Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.

In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

With the mixer on low speed, alternately add the flour mixture and milk, in three additions, beginning and ending with the flour. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Evenly fill the muffin cups with the batter and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until nicely browned and a toothpick inserted into a cupcake comes out clean. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Once the cupcakes have completely cooled, frost with icing. If you want flat topped cupcakes then slice off the dome of each cupcake, with a sharp knife, before frosting. If you want to pipe the frosting, I like to use a large Wilton 1M closed star decorating tip.

For the Frosting: In an electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, cream the butter until smooth and well blended. Add the vanilla extract. With the mixer on low speed, gradually beat in the sugar. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the milk and beat on high speed until frosting is light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes). Add a little more milk or sugar, if needed. Tint the frosting with desired food color (I use the paste food coloring that is available at cake decorating stores and party stores). The swimming pool party cake is ready to serve...Makes about 12 cupcakes !!
swimming-pool-cake

New York Pool Party Cheesecake

New York Pool Party Cheesecake
An amazing swimming pool party cake recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
Crust:

2 cups (200 grams) of graham wafer crumbs or finely crushed vanilla wafers or gingersnaps (process whole cookies in a food processor until they are crumbs)

1/4 cup (50 grams) granulated white sugar

1/2 cup (114 grams) unsalted butter, melted

Filling:

32 ounces (1 kg) (4 - 8 ounces packages) cream cheese, room temperature (use full fat, not reduced or fat free cream cheese)

1 cup (200 grams) granulated white sugar

3 tablespoons (35 grams) all purpose flour

5 large eggs, room temperature

1/3 cup (80 ml) heavy whipping cream

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Topping:

1 cup (240 ml) sour cream (not low fat or fat free)

2 tablespoons (30 grams) granulated white sugar

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Tips: Sometimes the surface of the cheesecake cracks. To help prevent this from happening do not overbeat the batter, especially when creaming the cheese and sugar.
Another reason for cracking is overbaking the cheesecake. Your cheesecake is done when it is firm but the middle may still look a little wet.
Also, make sure the springform pan is well greased as cracking can occur if the cheesecake sticks to the sides as it cools.

INSTRUCTIONS
Grease, or spray with Pam, a 9 inch (23 cm) springform pan. Place the springform pan on a larger baking pan to catch any leakage while the cheesecake is baking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) with rack in center of oven.

For Crust: In a medium sized bowl combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the crumbs evenly over the bottom and about 1 inch (2.5 cm) up the sides of the springform pan. Cover and refrigerate while you make the filling.

For Filling: In bowl of your electric mixer place the cream cheese, sugar, and flour. Beat on medium speed until smooth (about 2 minutes), scraping down the bowl as needed. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well (about 30 seconds) after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the whipping cream, lemon zest, vanilla extract and beat until incorporated. Remove the crust from the refrigerator and pour in the filling. Place the cheesecake pan on a larger baking pan and place in the oven.

Bake for 15 minutes and then lower the oven temperature to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and continue to bake for about another 1 1/2 hours or until firm and only the center of the cheesecake looks a little wet and wobbly. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Spread the topping over the warm cheesecake and return to oven to bake for 15 more minutes. Remove from oven and carefully run a knife or spatula around the inside edge of pan to loosen the cheesecake (helps prevent the surface from cracking as it cools).

Let cool before covering with plastic wrap and refrigerating. This cheesecake tastes best after being refrigerated for at least a day.

Serve with fresh fruit or fruit sauces.
Makes one - 9 inch (23 cm) cheesecake.

To freeze: Place the cooled cheesecake on a baking pan and freeze, uncovered, until firm. Remove the cheesecake from the freezer, wrap it in heavy duty aluminum foil and place in a freezer bag. Seal and return to freezer. Can be frozen for several months. Thaw uncovered cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight.
The swimming pool party cake of cheesecake is ready to serve...Enjoy the party !
lemon-layer-swimming-pool-party-cake.

Red Velvet Party Cake

Red Velvet Party Cake

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 cups (250 grams) sifted cake flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons (15 grams) Dutch-processed cocoa powder

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 1/2 cups (300 grams) granulated white sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk

2 tablespoons liquid red food coloring

1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar

1 teaspoon baking soda

Cream Cheese Frosting:

1 1/2 (360 ml) cups heavy whipping cream

1 - 8 ounce (227 grams) cream cheese, room temperature

1 - 8 ounce (227 grams) tub of Mascarpone cheese, room temperature

3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup (115 grams) confectioners' (icing or powdered) sugar, sifted

INSTRUCTIONS

Red Velvet Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven. Butter two - 9 inch (23 cm) round cake pans and line the bottoms of the pans with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl sift together the flour, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
In bowl of your electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat the butter until soft (about 1-2 minutes). Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined.

In a measuring cup whisk the buttermilk with the red food coloring. With the mixer on low speed, alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk, in three additions, beginning and ending with the flour.

In a small cup combine the vinegar and baking soda. Allow the mixture to fizz and then quickly fold into the cake batter.

Working quickly, divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans and smooth the tops with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 - 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean. Cool the cakes in their pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Place a wire rack on top of the cake pan and invert, lifting off the pan. Once the cakes have completely cooled, wrap in plastic and place the cake layers in the freezer for at least an hour. (This is done to make filling and frosting the cakes easier.)

Cream Cheese Frosting: In your food processor, or with a hand mixer, process the cream cheese and mascarpone cheese until smooth. Add the vanilla and confectioners sugar and process until smooth. Transfer this mixture to a large mixing bowl.

Then, in the bowl of your electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. With a large spatula, gently but quickly fold a little of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to lighten it. Then fold in the remaining whipped cream, in two stages. If the frosting is not thick enough to spread, cover and place in the refrigerator for an hour, or until it is firm enough to spread.

Assemble: With a serrated knife, cut each cake layer in half, horizontally. You will now have four cake layers. Place one of the cake layers, top of the cake facing down, onto your serving platter. Spread the cake layer with a layer of frosting. Place another layer of cake on top of the frosting and continue to frost and stack the cake layers. Frost the top and sides of the cake. Can garnish the cake with sweetened or unsweetened coconut. Makes one - 9 inch (23 cm) four layer cake. The pool party cake recipe is ready to serve....enjoy the party !

Swimming Pool Cake

Swimming Pool Cake
Ingredients:

* 1 package (85 grams, 3 ounces) blue gelatin (JELL-O makes a blue raspberry one)
* 13 x 9-inch white cake
* 2 cups fluffy white icing
* Decorations:
* 44 multi-colored cream-filled wafters (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla)
* 1 piece (7 inches/18 cm long) red and green shoestring licorice
* pink chocolate rounds
* multicolored sprinkles
* chocolate finger cookies
* doughnut-shaped jelly candies
* gumballs

INSTRUCTIONS
Cover bottom and sides of 13" X 9" cake pan with plastic wrap. Break the eggs into a mixing bowl, add the salt.
2. Set the bowl in a pan of boiling water.
3. Beat the eggs with a Dover egg beater till light.
4. Then add one-third cup of boiling water.
5. Beat again till light.
6. Then add a little of the sugar, and beat.
7. Then add a little more sugar, and beat.
8. Continue adding a little sugar and beating till all the sugar is beaten in and the batter is very stiff and light.
9. Remove the bowl from the water.
10. Beat in the flavoring, then with a flat wire whip, called a "sensible egg whip," fold in the flour carefully and with as few strokes as possible, not sifting all the flour onto the batter at once, but sifting on a little flour and folding it in with two or three strokes, then sifting on a little more flour, and folding again.
11. Continue till all the flour is folded in, then fold in the blueberries.
12. Pour the batter into the tin, which has a piece of oiled paper fitted into the bottom, and bake in a moderate oven till a broom straw stuck into the cake comes out clean.
13. When the cake is removed from the oven, turn it bottom side up to cool in the tin, placing something under one edge of the tin to allow the air to circulate under it.
14. This will keep the cake from falling.
15. When cold, cut around the edge and remove it from the tin.
The swimming pool party cake of blueberry is ready to serve...enjoy the party !

cherry-swimming-pool-party-cake-recipe

The Twin Tower Pool Cake

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; recipe

Use two cake mixes for a 16x11-inch cake. let it cool completely, inverted the cake onto a large board and removed the pan. Using a serrated knife, cut and scooped out an oval from the center of the cake, a shallow lake, leaving a thin layer of cake on the bottom (also leaving enough room for Barbie’s to sit on the sides of the lake).

For the Jello cake recipe, stir 3 cups boiling water into 3 boxes of Berry Blue Jell-o gelatin in a large bowl until it was completely dissolved. then stirred in 3 cups cold water. refrigerate about 1-1/4 hours, until it was slightly thickened. pour thickened gelatin into center of cake.

Refrigerate about 3 hours or until it was set. After gelatin was completely set frost the cake and crushed Graham Crackers and sprinkled them on the cake to make it look like sand. Put Barbie’s on the cake with their legs in the gelatin. Put 2 Gummy Lifesavers on each of their arms, to look like bubbles. Put gummy fish, gummy ducks, a gummy turtle, and a gummy alligator in the gelatin. The last touch outlined the lake with blue liquorish. The swimming pool party cake of Jello is ready for a great party...anjoy !

Swimming Pool Party Cake

Swimming Pool Party Cake

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

    1/2 gallon quality ice cream (any flavor)

    1 1/3 8.5-oz. pkgs. fudge sticks (chocolate or peanut butter)

    2 cups heavy cream

    1/4 cup sugar

    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

    Blue food coloring

    Gummy rings

    Gobstoppers

    Paper umbrellas

    Plastic figures

    Licorice

    Decorators' frosting

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Begin by making the ice-cream base of the pool cake.

Step 2 2. After the ice cream has frozen solid, unmold it by dipping the container quickly into a pan of hot water; if necessary, you can also loosen the edges of the ice cream with a knife. Invert the mold onto a large plate and carefully lift off the pan to reveal the ice-cream cake.

Step 3 3. Your kids can then carefully place the fudge sticks (we alternated plain and chocolate-peanut butter) along the sides of the ice-cream pool cake, the cookies will resemble the panels of an aboveground pool. Return the cake to the freezer while you prepare the whipped cream.

4. To make the blue whipped cream waves, pour the cold heavy cream into a bowl.

5. Next, let your kids turn the cake into a bustling pool with gummy ring inner tubes, Gobstopper beach balls, paper umbrellas, and plastic swimmers. Add a licorice ladder with licorice rungs (use decorators' frosting to glue it together).

6. Now it's time to take the plunge into the pool cake. For best results, serve it immediately and do not let it stand at room temperature for long. Store leftovers in the freezer. Make Jell-O as per instructions but use only 3/4 cup cold water; pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate, uncovered, for 1 hour or until completely set.
Meanwhile, cut cake into kidney shape; place on cake board. With spoon, hollow out 1/2 inch from top of cake, leaving 3/4 inch thick walls as border. Freeze cake scraps for other use.
With palette knife, spread icing over sides and border of cake. Trim wafers to match height of cake. Alternating colors, press wafers onto side of cake for fence, leaving 2 inch space uncovered for ladder.
With spatula, pick up long slabs of blue Jell-O, arrange in hollowed-out center of cake, rippling to resemble waves.
Cut red piece of licorice in half; arrange both halves on space on side of cake for ladder edges, pressing ends into cake to secure. Cut green licorice into small pieces for ladder steps; secure in place with icing. At opposite end from ladder, press wafer in place for diving board. At pool-side, arrange pink chocolate rounds and multi-colored sprinkles for landscape. Arrange chocolate finger cookies for wooden planking. Just before serving, place toy people or gummy bears in doughnut shaped candy for swimmers in rafts. Add gum balls for beach balls. Makes 16 - 20 servings. The swimming pool party cake is ready to serve...enjoy the party !
